BLACK LIVES MATTER - The West Orange Arts Council Message to our Community

Updated: Jun 19

The West Orange Arts Council (WOAC) serves as a platform to educate our community through artistic expression and engagement. We can empower our communities and change the landscape by inspiring new realities on the intersection of art, culture, and politics.

The Black Lives Matter movement affects all of us but we can change the way we see ourselves and one another through expressions of peace, dignity, justice and freedom.

The WOAC strives to enrich and enliven the quality of life of our residents through education and community outreach, arts programming and facility enhancement. We encourage our community to be a part of the change that you want to see in the world today and we invite all Artists and non-Artists to participate through creative expressions.

Please send us your poetry, artwork, photos or anything that expresses how you feel and how we can help to uplift our community, our country, and the world. We welcome your feedback. If you would like your art to be included in our next virtual exhibit, please send to

Thank you.
